Core material performance
Utilizing GR9 titanium alloy (Ti-3Al-2.5V), a near-alpha titanium alloy, this material achieves optimized performance through a precise ratio of aluminum (3wt%) and vanadium (2.5wt%).
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength of 600-680 MPa, yield strength ≥515 MPa, elongation ≥15%, and room-temperature strength 20%-50% higher than commercially pure titanium. It combines high strength with impact resistance, resisting fracture even under severe impact.
Lightweight Advantage: With a density of only 4.47 g/cm³, the 1.5 kg frame is 43% lighter than a steel frame of the same strength and over 15% more rigid than an aluminum alloy frame, reducing unsprung mass and exerting less energy during riding.
Fatigue Resistance and Durability: The α+β dual-phase structure provides excellent fatigue resistance, with a fatigue limit of 70% of the yield strength and a service life of up to 20 years (approximately 2 years for an aluminum frame and approximately 8 years for a steel frame), making it suitable for long-distance riding and harsh road conditions. Corrosion resistance: The surface naturally forms an oxidized passivation film, which has no risk of rusting in rain, sweat and marine environments. No paint protection is required, and the metal texture can be presented only through surface treatment.
