Titanium Nuts
The titanium alloy GR5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is used as the base material. Its alloy composition (6% aluminum + 4% vanadium) provides the following key advantages to the nut:
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥895 MPa, yield strength ≥825 MPa, elongation at break ≥10%, eliminating the risk of plastic deformation when the thread is stressed. With a hardness of HRC 30-35, it offers superior impact resistance to traditional steel nuts and is suitable for dynamic load scenarios (such as engine vibration and robotic arm operation).
Lightweight Revolution: With a density of only 4.51 g/cm³, it is 43% lighter than a stainless steel nut of the same specification (density 7.9 g/cm³) and 42% lighter than a high-strength steel nut (density 7.85 g/cm³). This significantly reduces the unsprung mass of the equipment, improving dynamic response and energy efficiency. Global corrosion resistance: The surface is passivated by pickling to form a 5-10μm oxide film. In seawater, salt spray, acid and alkali solutions (pH 1-14) and industrial waste gas environments, the annual corrosion rate is less than 0.005mm, solving the pain points of traditional nuts such as rusting, seizure, and disassembly breakage. It is especially suitable for extreme environments such as marine engineering and chemical equipment.
